The Catholic Church celebrates seven sacraments, each instituted by Christ as a channel of grace. These sacraments are special moments of encounter with God, bringing us closer to His divine life and mission.
Baptism is the first step in becoming part of the Church, cleansing original sin and initiating believers into the Christian faith. Adults entering the Church undergo the RCIA process, a journey of learning, faith, and commitment.
This sacrament offers the faithful a path to forgiveness and spiritual healing, reconciling them with God and the Church through confession and absolution.
Celebrated during Mass, the Eucharist is the central sacrament of Catholic worship, allowing believers to partake in the Body and Blood of Christ in remembrance of His sacrifice.
This sacrament strengthens the grace of Baptism, empowering individuals with the gifts of the Holy Spirit to live out their faith more fully.
For those facing illness or advanced age, this sacrament brings comfort, peace, and sometimes physical healing, linking the sufferer to the compassion of Christ.
Marriage is a sacramental union in which a couple vows lifelong commitment to one another, reflecting God’s love for His people.
Through this sacrament, men are ordained to serve as deacons, priests, or bishops, dedicating their lives to guiding and ministering to the faithful.
Sacramentals, such as blessings, are sacred signs instituted by the Church to prepare believers to receive the grace of the sacraments and grow in faith. They include blessings of people, objects, and even holy oils, each carrying a unique meaning and purpose.
